How to Get To UCT Prague

University of Chemistry and Technology
◳ Mapa campusu (jpg) → (originál)

Main campus of University of Chemistry and Technology is located in Prague 6, district Dejvice.
The closest metro station is Dejvická (line A, green),  and there is also a tram and a bus stop of the same name.

Main Address:
University of Chemistry and Technology
Technická 5
Prague 6 – Dejvice
166 28

The UCT Prague consists of 3 buildings (A, B, C). The main entrances to buildings A and B are located on Technická street, but there are also entrances from other streets.

How to get to Department of International Relations

The Department of International Relations is located on the first floor in building B, with the closest entrance being on Zikova street (see in Google Maps).

Dean's offices

The Dean's offices are located in same building as Department of International Relations, i. e. building B, with the closest entrance being on Zikova street. Depending on the faculty, the dean's office can be found on the first or second floor. It is possible to use either of the two entrances from Zika Street, the building is pass-through inside.

Navigation inside the buildings

When going to Enrollment Day or to the classes on the first day, we strongly recommend using the school EMIL application which will help you find your way to the class. Note that UCT is like a little maze and it is very easy to get lost in the hallways.

School of Business

School of Business is located at Jankovcova street 23 (see on the map) - in different district of Prague (not in main campus in Dejvice) with the nearest tram stop Maniny.

How to Get to UCT from the Airport

 ◳ UCT_Zikova_entrance (jpg) → (šířka 450px)

We recommend using public transportation when going from the airport Letiště Václava Havla to the city as it is the cheapest and easiest option. See this instructional video on how to get from the airport by bus and metro.

Take bus 119 to the Nádraží Veleslavín metro station, then take the metro (line A, green) in the direction Depo Hostivař and get off at the Dejvická metro station. Go up the escalators, and continue to the right-side exit stairs that will take you directly to the university. The trip takes about twenty-five minutes.

Don’t forget to buy a ticket for public transport. You can do so by purchasing the ticket in a machine at the bus stop at the airport, or by buying the ticket in the PID Litacka application (we recommend using this app as you can also find the timetables of the public transportation there.).

How to Get to the Dormitories from the Airport

◳ Dormitories (jpg) → (šířka 450px)When going from the airport to the dormitories, you will use the same direction as when going to the university.

In front of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, get on board bus 119 and ride to Nadrazi Veleslavin. After getting off the bus go inside the metro station, and catch a metro train in the direction of Depo Hostivař. Ride to station Muzeum. At Muzeum, change lines (from line A (green) to line C (red)) and take the metro C to the station Chodov. At Chodov, there is a large shopping center just right above the metro station, therefore, you can do some after-arrival shopping if needed. After getting out of the metro, catch bus 177 and ride to the bus stop Volha. From there, dormitories are 3 minutes of walk away.

It will take about 1 hour to get from the airport to the dormitories.

Don’t forget to buy a ticket for public transport. You can do so by purchasing the ticket in a machine at the bus stop at the airport, or by buying the ticket in the PID Litacka application (we recommend using this app as you can also find the timetables of the public transportation there.)
