Overview

The field of study is focused to research in information and control engineering, data acquisition technologies, measuring systems, computational intelligence and statistical signal and image processing. The interdisciplinary research in these areas allows to integrate separate disciplines and to use similar mathematical background in different applications. Topics studied include chemical sensors, measuring techniques, analysis of multichannel and multidimensional data, image analysis, data modelling, artificial intelligence and robotics. Applications are related but not limited to sensor systems, biomedical data processing, biotechnology and control of engineering systems.

Careers

The graduates can find jobs in research institutes, universities and companies specialized to information processing, design of specific sensors, measuring and control systems, software engineering, data fusion and signal processing. They can find employment in the area of basic and applied research of data acquisition and their processing, analysis of biomedical and biotechnological data, assistive technologies and robotic systems both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
