The programme was designed in reaction to the rapid changes in the industrial and scientific research sectors in the Information Age. This Industry 4.0 initiative reflects the changing industrial situation associated with gradual digitization, automation, and robotization. In the case of the chemical industry, however, there is still a need to understand the theoretical nature of the chemical processes and processes that can be automated, and this programme provides this understanding to graduates, being based on the UCT Prague specialization in chemistry and chemical engineering. At the same time, it provides graduates with sufficient knowledge in information technology and data processing.
Careers
The graduate are prepared for careers in industry (e.g. pharmaceutical, petrochemical, food) and in research, development, consulting and data processing companies. Graduates possess the ability to critically-evaluate new information; to search, sort and analyze this information; and to draw conclusions. Graduates are also prepared to continue their studies in doctoral study programmes and to develop their own scientific career pathways.
