University Scholarships
University of Chemistry and Technology offers its students studying in study programmes taught in the English language an Excellent study results scholarship and Exceptional scholarships for students in difficult financial situations.
An Application form must be supplemented by a Transcript of Records (issued by the Dean's office) and two Letters of Recommendation by a UCT teacher or supervisor.
Only students with a study average of 1.00–1.80 who obtained a minimum of 25 credits by the end of the examination period of the given semester are eligible for the Excellent study results scholarship.
The awarding of the scholarship is not automatic, all applications are assessed by the Vice-Rector for External Relations and Communication.

- Fill in the Application form (see form below), ask your teachers to provide a Letter of Recommendation (see form below) to you, and visit your Dean's office to get a Transcript of Records stating the average of your grades

Conditions for awarding the scholarship
The extraordinary scholarship of Miroslav Vlček is awarded in accordance with § 91 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on universities, as amended, and the Scholarship Rules of VŠCHT Prague.
- Students who are not citizens of the Czech Republic may apply for a scholarship.
- The student must study a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree program full-time.
- Disciplinary proceedings may not be conducted against the student.
- The student will not exceed 36 years of age in the year the scholarship is awarded.
- The application for the grant of the scholarship is submitted by the student on the prescribed form (download the form here).
The form contains the applicant's identification data and a description of his contribution to the support of the internationalization of the study environment of VŠCHT Prague, and the signature of at least one teacher of the given student expressing his consent to the application for a scholarship. The application can be submitted either directly by the student or by his teacher.
Incomplete or incorrectly filled forms will be excluded from the selection process.

When selecting a scholarship recipient, his/her extraordinary contribution to the international reputation of UCT Prague and studies in Prague is evaluated (e.g. exceptional extracurricular activities in the form of project involvement; research; spreading the good name of VŠCHT Prague and Czech higher education in the world).
The vice-rector for foreign relations decides on the awarding of the scholarship. She can also decide not to award it.
Announcement of results: by 30 November
The award-winning student will be invited to a ceremony to receive the Decision on Awarding the Scholarship.
Other Financial Aid Options
Visegrad Scholarships – International Visegrad Fund
The International Visegrad Fund offers Master's and post-graduate (post-Master's) scholarships for study/research projects during the period of one to four semesters at public universities in the Czech Republic and other European countries. Applicants must come from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, or Ukraine. Interested applicants shall submit their applications by March 15 each year.
All Visegrad Fund applicants shall fill in an online application with all required documents for a selected study program. Subsequently, applicants need to contact the faculty representatives for submitted documents evaluation. A pre-acceptance letter for the Visegrad Fund application is issued once an applicant meets the admission requirements.
CEEPUS – Central European Exchange Programme for University Study
The CEEPUS programme is focused on fostering regional cooperation within Central Europe by supporting the exchange of students and teachers in central Europe.
AKTION Czech Republic – Austria
AKTION Czech Republic – Austria, cooperation in science and education, is a programme supporting bilateral cooperation in the tertiary sector through individual scholarships and cooperation projects. For individuals, there are scholarships for study and research stays available. Czech and Austrian students can also apply for a scholarship to participate in summer language courses and summer schools.
Fulbright U.S. Student Program – Fulbright Program
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Fulbright Student Program provides the opportunity for recent U.S. graduates, post-graduate candidates, professionals, and artists to conduct career-launching studies and research abroad.
Barrande Fellowship Programme
The French Institute in Prague and the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports have launched a new mobility programme for PhD students in the Czech Republic applying to go study in France, and PhD students in France applying to go study in the Czech Republic. This mobility programme funds either cotutelles or short research stays.
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic – Scholarships
Scholarships of this type are designed for university/college students or graduates and PhD candidates (in some cases, also for university researchers/teachers) who wish to accomplish a study or research stay at universities in the Czech Republic.
Government Scholarships – Developing countries – Scholarships Awards within the Foreign Development Assistance Programme
The Government of the Czech Republic offers a number of scholarships within the framework of the Foreign Development Assistance Programme in support of the study of foreign nationals from developing countries at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic.
ERASMUS+ Bilateral Agreements
Within this programme, students from EU countries have the opportunity to study at other universities in the EU if a bilateral agreement has been signed. Students can go to the university in the EU either for studies or for training. The maximum duration of both possibilities is one year.
Science and Law School Scholarship
The Science & Law School Scholarship is offered to outstanding students who have already scored admissions in Universities (QS Ranked Universities < 1000) not later than three months from the date of application. The quota for Science majors is 25 % whereas, the quota for Engineering programmes is 30%.

GreenMatch Sustainability Scholarship
Scholarship for students interested in improving student life by making sustainable decisions. GreenMatch provides renewable energy solutions for homeowners in the UK, with the purpose of bringing the aspect of sustainability to the life of a student, they award a student with a scholarship of £1000 for a successful application of green ideas in their daily life.
Novus Biologicals Scholarship Program
The Novus Biologicals Scholarship Program is awarded to students pursuing a degree in a science-related field twice a year. A $1,500 (or international currency equivalent) scholarship will be awarded to one student for the fall and spring semesters. *US, Canada, and European Countries only.
Jelvix Scholarship Program
Jelvix, a global technology consulting company, offers an achievement-based Scholarship Program for high school and graduate students interested in science, innovative and emerging technologies, and engineering. Students can be recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as make a significant impact and contribution to their schools and communities.
