Virtual tour of the UCT Prague
History
UCT Prague was founded in 1952 but its origins date back to 1807 when the first course in chemistry was delivered at Prague Polytechnic. Reorganization of the polytechnic in 1920 resulted in the transformation of the chemistry department into the School of Chemical Technology, one of the seven sections of the Czech Technical University.
A number of key figures of the history of chemistry relate to UCT Prague. Among them, three figures are renowned in their fields: Vladimir Prelog, Nobel Prize winner, Otto Wichterle, inventor of contact lenses, and Emil Votoček, author of the Czech chemical nomenclature.
Several presidents of the Czech Academy of Sciences – František Šorm, Rudolf Zahradník, and Jiří Drahoš – are connected with the school as well.
UCT Prague was the first Czech university authorised to provide the Eurobachelor degree. As its name indicates, this prestigious recognition certifies the quality of UCT Prague bachelor studies at the European level.

NonEU Citizens – Long-term Visa or Residence Permit Applying
NonEU citizens must apply for a long-term visa or a long-term residence card for the purpose of studying in the Czech Republic.
An appointment at the respective embassy must be scheduled in order to apply for a long-term visa or residence permit. The appointment can be either scheduled by the applicant himself/herself OR applicants from certain listed countries can apply for an appointment at the Czech Embassy through a governmental project for visa facilitation called Režim Student.
Note that it is more than recommended to arrange a visa appointment at the respective embassy in May at the very latest. The academic year starts in September, and visa approval takes 60–120 days!
Especially applicants from India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka, Bhútán, Chad, Cameroon, Maledives, and Nepal, should apply for the visa AS SOON AS POSSIBLE once they receive a Letter of Acceptance because of the competition at the embassies in Abuja (Nigeria), Accra (Ghana) and New Delhi (India) which is enormous, and the appointment slots are very limited!
We encourage all applicants to visit the website of the respective Czech embassy for their country and learn in advance what documents are required when applying for a visa.

The winter semester ends with the fulfilment of study obligations as of February 9, 2025.
Note that you must obtain at least 15 credits in order to be allowed to continue your studies in the summer semester. Not obtaining the minimum of 15 credits will result in the termination of your studies.
Summer semester
- 10. 2. 2025 – 16. 5. 2025 – Instruction period
- 19. 5. 2025 – 27. 6. 2025 – Examination period
- 28. 6. 2025 – 24. 8. 2025 – Summer holidays
- 25. 8. 2025 – 29. 8. 2025 – Examination period
Note: On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the classes are held according to Thursday's schedule.
Instruction Hours
Classes take place between 8:00–19:50 (8:00 AM – 7:50 PM). There may be long breaks between your classes, however not that long that it would be worth going to the dormitories and back. You can spend the breaks in break/relaxation rooms called Respirium in building B.
General Study Principles
The fundamental prerequisite for successful completion of the study is regular and active participation in lectures and practical classes.
The Dean may decide on special rules for participation in the practical classes and the Physical Education subject in case of students with an extraordinary study plan (hereinafter referred to as "ESP").
Study obligations
Read here about how it works with exams, credits, and grading at UCT
- Fulfilment of study obligations is bound to the continuity of study obligations. The requirements for continuity conditions are determined by the study program guarantor and the course guarantor and can be found in the Study Information System.
STUDY PLAN
- Subjects are divided into Compulsory, Compulsory-elective, and Elective subjects.
- A student must successfully pass all compulsory subjects. A student has to choose a minimum of compulsory-elective subjects from the prescribed amount of compulsory-elective subjects. A student may take elective subjects per their interest.
- A student can retake the same subject a maximum of three times. In the case of a re-registered subject, the student has the same conditions for fulfilling it as during the previous registration.
- The semester ends with fulfilling all subjects prescribed by the study plan and obtaining the number of credits corresponding to at least thirty times the number of already completed semesters no later than the end of the examination period of the given semester.
EXAMS
- Students register/unregister for the exams via the Study Information System (SIS).
- If a student has failed to unregister from the examination for serious reasons, they may excuse their absence in advance (!) directly to the examiner.
- Unexcused absence or unrecognized excuse for absence from the exam is assessed by the classification "F".
- A student has the right to two re-sits should they fail the first term of the exam. However, they must respect the terms announced by the department conducting the subject.
- The right to re-sit an exam expires if the student has not used the opportunity to take the exam within the regular examination period.

CULTURE COURSE – Thursday, September 12 at 10:00, BIII lecture hall
Join the Culture Course led by Caleb Daniel House, MSc. (USA).
Caleb House was born and raised in Northern California. Since 2003 he has lived in 10 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa as a student, volunteer, teacher, researcher, and project manager. Along the way, he slowly realized that the deep differences in culture are not the main problem, rather the way we think about culture can have a make-or-break impact on the experience abroad. Through a long process of failures and successes, he developed a set of tools to overcome the challenges and to make the most of living in a foreign country. Since 2018 he has worked in the International Relations Office of the Czech Technical University in Prague.
The Culture Course provides insight into culture shock, culture fatigue, how to think about culture when you're a foreigner, or how to make the most of your time in a foreign country despite challenges.

How to Apply for Accommodation in the Dormitories as a Freshman
When accepted to the studies at UCT Prague, an admission officer will provide you with an Accommodation Application by email. Once you fill in and sign the application, you have to scan it and send it back to the admission officer, who will forward it to the respective officer at the dormitories. The applications are assessed in July, and a dormitories officer will contact you in August.
Erasmus Mundus students (IMATEC, IMETE, MMESD) are automatically provided with accommodation in the dormitories (upon the confirmation of their interest to be accommodated there). Erasmus Mundus students will be approached by the admission officer regarding the accommodation in a timely manner.
In August, you will be contacted by a dormitories officer who will provide you with information about which room has been assigned to you. The earliest arrival to the dormitories is usually possible in the first week of September.
Please note that your request for a specific type of room might not be met because of the limited capacity of the dormitories.
Upon your arrival, you shall visit the reception of the assigned dormitory, identify yourself with your passport, and the receptionist will provide you with documents, a room key, and bed linen. The documents must be signed and handed over to a dormitory officer (in the Student Accommodation office). Should you arrive on a weekend, you will be given the documents, and you must visit the Student Accommodation office on Monday morning.
Kindly note that upon your arrival in the dormitory, you shall pay an administrative fee of 400 CZK and also a refundable deposit in the amount of 7000 CZK. The fee may be paid in cash in Czech currency, or by card (Visa or Mastercard).
On Enrollment Day, you will be provided with login information into the dormitories system ISKAM. In the ISKAM system, you will see your monthly expenses (accommodation fee, laundry fee, gym fee...), and you can also report any malfunctions in the room.
Bed Linen
Each bed is equipped with a pillow and a duvet. Upon your registration, you will be provided with bed linen (1x pillowcase, 1x duvet cover) and with a fitted sheet. The fitted sheet shall be put on the mattress. The pillow shall be placed inside the pillowcase and the duvet shall be placed inside the duvet cover.
We advise changing the bed linen and the fitted sheet for hygiene reasons optimally once a week. You can get a clean bed lined in the bedding storeroom or in the manager's office of your dormitory.
Curious about more details about living in dormitories? See our housing handbook!
How to Apply for Accommodation in the Dormitories for the Second Year of Your Studies
Please note that during the second semester of your first year, from April 1 until April 30, you have to submit an application for accommodation in the dormitories through the dormitories system ISKAM.
Find complete information here – search for a document called "Rules for accommodation of university students in residence halls of UCT Prague".
Wi-Fi in the Dormitories
Detailed information about the dormitories and a price list is to be found on the official website of the dormitories here.
How to Get to the Dormitories From the Airport
Prague airport for all international flights is the Vaclav Havel Airport. To get to the dormitories from the airport it is necessary to change a few means of transport.
Outside of the airport on Terminal 1, there is a bus stop. You need to use bus 119 which goes in the direction of Nadrazi Veleslavin. Ride until Nadrazi Veleslavin station (9 stops). After getting off the bus go inside the metro station, line A (green line), and catch a metro train in the direction of Depo Hostivar. Ride to station Muzeum. There is needed to change to line C (red line) and ride to station Chodov. After getting out of the metro, catch bus 177 and ride to the stop Volha. From there, dormitories are 3 minutes of walk away.
Don’t forget to buy a ticket for public transport. You can do so by purchasing the ticket in a machine at the bus stop at the airport, or by buying the ticket in the PID Litacka application (we recommend using this app as you can also find the timetables of the public transportation there).
Off-Campus Living
If you wish to stay closer to the university and prefer privacy, you can search for a private flat. When looking for an apartment in Prague, be careful about fake offers. We highly suggest not paying anything before actually seeing the flat and signing a contract. We recommend reading articles about the issues, e.g. here or here.
Please note that you will have to register your place of residence at the Foreign Police (Non-EU nationals within 3 days from the arrival to the Czech Republic; EU nationals within 30 days). See the guide at the bottom of this page.
Note, that you have to take the accommodation contract with you to the Foreign Police office, therefore, make sure that the person who signed the accommodation contract is a legal owner of the apartment!
International students living in the dormitories do not need to register their arrival to the Czech Republic at the Foreign Police; the dormitories take care of this.
Canteens
Students can have breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner in the Residence Volha canteen.
There are also two canteens on the university campus close to UCT Prague:
- Menza Studentský dům ("Red canteen"): Bílá 6, Praha 6
- Technická Menza ("Blue canteen"): Jugoslávských partyzánů 3, Praha 6

The University of Chemistry and Technology consists of 3 buildings (A, B, C) on the campus of Dejvice in Prague 6. We recommend using the university application EMIL (Android | Apple) for better navigation on the UCT premises.
Pleasant Places for Studying
Respiria for Study and Relaxation
In building B there are two study rooms called Respirium. Both offer seating, drawers and plenty of light.
Respirium I (map), on the ground floor to the right of the main entrance, is large and you will find tables and chairs in it, for studying or perhaps eating lunch – there is, among other things, a microwave, kettle and vending machines with small snacks. You can also use the shack for storing clothes and luggage here, and you can also buy school promotional items in the same place
Board games, occasional concerts and orchestra rehearsals are also held here regularly.
Respirium I is open during the semester from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (collecting items from the locker room until 6:30 p.m.).
- During the examination period, the staff presence time may be reduced (always indicated on the door)
- During the holidays, the staff is not present, but the Respirium is usually accessible
- During events, access to the Respirium may be restricted
The new Respirium II (map) is located in the back of building B on the 1st floor (near the study offices, entrance from Zikova Street). It is smaller, equipped with armchairs and sofas, and thus provides, in addition to the possibility of quiet preparation for the lecture, a cosy place to relax. You will find vending machines with small snacks and coffee on the floor above.
In the Fresh Air
When you need oxygen, the school offers two courtyards where you can sit, replenish your vitamin D and relax with a view of the blue sky.
U komína (By the Chimney) – in building B, next to Carbon; if you ride a bike, you can lock your bike right here (ask the receptionist).
Apsida – in building A, opposite room AS68 (from U Miláčka buffet, go down the stairs and to the left before you come across the door to the courtyard on the left). When the weather is nice, various cultural events take place here, but you can always study here (you can also use the whiteboard).
Classroom K1 to Reserve
For teamwork, working on projects, discussing lectures or tutoring, you can book classroom K1 on the 3rd floor of building B (map). The classroom has space for 10 people, a projector and a blackboard.
You can make a reservation in the calendar of the mailex application - see instructions on the intranet. At the time of reservation, the key can be picked up at the gatehouse of building B. Don't forget your ISIC or school card for identification.
National Technical Library
The National Technical Library, abbreviated as NTK, is the unrivalled best place for learning on the Dejvice campus. Directly opposite building A stands an oval building full of articles, books and publications, modern architecture, and mainly places to sit and study.
Registration is not required to enter NTK, but it is useful – it is free (with a valid school card or ISIC) and thanks to it you can use all the services that the library offers, especially borrowing publications, printing, reserving study places, etc.
For group learning, it is possible to rent a team study room on the 4th to 6th floor for 4 to 10 people. The reservation is made through the NTK reservation system and the entry then works on the ISIC / ID card of the person who booked the room.
If you are looking for peace of mind for independent study, there is also the option of booking an individual study room for just one person. But beware, they are often fully booked, so you better book ahead of time and cancel the reservation responsibly if you know you won't use it.
Computers at School
You can find freely accessible computers in room B1-238 (1st floor of building B, part of Zikova, between classroom B15 and Respirium II). A student card is required to enter the room.
Additional computers specially designed for printing, are available in the Copy Center (basement of building B – room S82). You can find more information and opening hours here.
Where to Eat?
Some live to eat, some eat to live. Studying is calorie-intensive, so food is a must.
Canteens
Buffets at School
If you're hungry after a lecture, you can find a buffet in every building right in the school. In it you can buy baguettes, sandwiches, panini, toast, salads, pastries, cookies, but also soup and of course coffee and other drinks; in building B also small school supplies. Buffets are open most of the day and you can pay in cash or by card.
- U Miláčka (building A, ground floor to the right from the main entrance; map)
- Buf.an (building B, right at the main entrance before the turnstiles)
The Carbon Club
The basement of Building B (to the left from the main entrance) houses the Carbon Student Club. In addition to small snacks, good beer and coffee, it regularly hosts PubQuiz and other social events. It's tradition to celebrate the test with a one or two beers in Carbon. The club is thus the best place for strengthening contacts and friendships.
Vending Machines
Vending machines with snacks, baguettes, cold drinks and coffee and tea are located in both buildings. Most accept cards and are regularly replenished.
You can find them in building B in Respirium I, by the stairs next to classroom B25 above Respirium II, at both entrances from Technická Street, above Carbon, at the entrance from Zikova Street; and in building A next to the U Miláčka buffet.
Restaurants and Cafes
The location of the Dejvické Campus makes hunting for lunch a lot easier. There are many restaurants, fast food and cafes nearby. So a trip for food is more of a diversion and a break from studying than a grueling expedition. You can find tips on the map at the bottom of the page.
Note that the tuition fee is recalculated for each academic year according to a coefficient provided by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports of the Czech Republic.
The tuition fee is due within 3 months from the day of the physical enrollment into the studies.
On Enrollment Day (held usually in the first/second week in September) students are provided with official payment information, and the payment is then made either online in the Study Information System (SIS), or via a bank transfer.
It is possible to pay the tuition fee in Euros as well.
The tuition fees listed below apply to students studying in the study programmes taught in English (regardless of their nationality).

Study Information System (SIS) is a platform that UCT Prague uses to provide students with information regarding matters connected to their studies. You access SIS at the address: https://student.vscht.cz or through the university app EMIL (download here Android | Apple).
From now on, this will be your number one go-to university web page, and this guide is here to introduce you to it. We know that it is hard for you to understand how SIS works, even local students find themselves a bit lost at the beginning and you are already brave enough to study in a foreign country. Don’t worry, you are not alone and I hope this guide will answer your questions.

Subjects Enrollment
First-year students are already registered for compulsory subjects in the first winter semester. On Enrollment Day, students will visit Dean's offices to choose compulsory-elective subjects.
Bachelor degree students also have to register for Physical Education or Sport Course. Find more information about the physical education and sports courses at the website of the Department of Physical Education and Sport.
At the end of the first semester, you might be asked to come personally to the dean’s office to register for subjects for the second semester, however, these rules may vary with different courses and faculties. Contact your dean's office to lear the proper procedure. Don’t forget to bring all the documents if they ask you to.
Enrollment in Elective courses and Physical Education in the Second Year
Study plans are mostly fixed. There are usually one or two compulsory-elective courses (subjects), and you can pick your favorite ones from a provided list. This means that, when the semester is approaching, at some point (1-2 weeks prior) when you go to the SIS section SCHEDULING, you will see the first draft of your schedule. (And you do not have to do anything.)
But 2 things are missing – elective course (if applicable) and physical education.
A few weeks before the beginning of a new semester you will see some changes on SIS front page. Everything you need to know about enrolling in courses is there, especially dates when the gates for enrollment open and the deadline when the enrollment ends.
We suggest you deal with enrollment as soon as possible. Check your study plan and the list of physical education courses in advance, so you know what to choose and just be ready. On the front page of SIS, in the attached documents, there should be a guide through this process as well, however, it is easy. Everything happens in the section SUBJECTS AND SCHEDULE REGISTRATION.
Go to the tab Enrollment (study plan) and you will see your compulsory courses, the list of elective courses, and physical education as well. Just click on a little circle next to the course code and click enroll.
Elective courses usually also have a Preliminary enrollment that takes place at the end of the previous semester. You will be informed in advance by the dean’s office.
TIP: CHECK if all of your subjects are shown in your schedule.
If not, there might be some sort of mistake. In case of trouble, contact your dean’s office.
Sending an online inquiry is always a safe and sound way to ask someone, what to do. Visiting the person’s office is an option too, just please always remember to be polite and look up the opening hours first.
- It is good to have a clear image of your study plan. Know what you need to complete this semester, and what will be happening the next. ALWAYS STAY IN THE PICTURE.
- All study plans are available online – visit the web page of your faculty and find your course.
- Find yourself a time to go through SIS. You can look everywhere, and try to find courses and schedules. And if you are still not sure, just ask a classmate or a tutor. After a while, it will not seem so scary anymore.
- For the most important events, you will always get an online invitation to your school email. Please learn to check it frequently. And if you are not sure, checking your faculty website might help too.
Personal Details & Bank Account
Please check, that all of your personal details are up-to-date.
In case of any changes, you are required to update them. If you need to change or add anything, go to SIS section PERSONAL DATA – tab Data change – edit whatever you need, and press save.
Adding your Czech bank account is important in case you plan to apply for a scholarship based on good study results. You can apply for this scholarship starting from the second semester of your studies if your grade average is in the range of 1,00–1,80, and you obtained at least 25 credits in the given semester.
To add your Czech bank account, please go to SIS section PERSONAL DATA – tab Data change – and edit the Account Number.
Tuition Fee Payment
In the section SCHOLARSHIP and FEES – tab Fees – you can find information for tuition fee payment.
It is possible to pay by scanning a QR code or by online card payment. It is also possible to send the money via a bank transfer.
The tuition fee is paid for the whole academic year. Upon a request submitted to the dean's office, the Dean may decide to allow splitting the amount into a few installments. Contact your dean's office should you need more information.
EXAMS
Please see below the 4 “types” of examination that you must pass to successfully move to the next semester. The examination type is mostly connected to the complexity of a subject.
Cr+ZK – Course-credit + Exam – Mostly the hardest subjects – This is a two-level exam. First of all, during the semester, you will be handing in some homework or assessments or writing one or more course-credit tests. You have to fulfill all duties/pass the tests, and your professor then marks a course-credit (Cr) as passed in SIS.
At this point, you should check it in the SIS section SUMMARY OF EXAMINATION RESULTS. If you cannot see the mark there, contact your professor. Without this Cr in SIS, you won’t be allowed to attend the Exam (ZK).
ZK – Exam – In this case you don’t have to think about anything during the semester, all you need to do is to pass the exam in the examination period.
KZ – Marked course-credit – This means that there is no Exam in the examination period. You usually finish this subject at the end of the semester. It is similar to the course-credit, however, you get a grade for your assessments or tests.
Cr – Course-credit – Credit-course simply means that you complied with requirements of the subject during the semester (typically just attendance). There is no exam and you get no grade.
If you feel a bit lost, don’t worry. Your professor will explain all of the requirements for that specific subject in your first lecture.
EXAM PERIOD
Students typically have to fulfill about 5 exams per semester. Some of them may be just a test, others just oral but the most important, and hardest subjects often include both, written and oral parts. In that case, you have to pass a test first to get Cr to be admitted to the final oral exam.
Professors will inform you about the exam type and requirements in advance so you can properly prepare.
How it works with exams:
- You schedule the exams yourself. It is up to you in which order you fulfill your duties but your goal is to fulfill them all.
- Your professors will insert dates for exams in SIS section EXAMINATION TERMS – tab Register
- You should be able to see the dates, times, and lecture rooms where the exam takes place.
- Registering for the term is similar to enrolling in courses. You pick any date you like (if it's not full of course) and press "Register" at the bottom.
- Now you should be able to see the registered exam in the section EXAMINATION TERMS – tab My dates.
- If you need to change a term after you registered, it's not a problem. You can change it in SIS, however, there is usually a deadline (hours before the exam) and after that, you cannot change the date of the exam anymore. If you don’t attend the exam, you lose the attempt and your professor will mark it as F (Fail) in SIS.
- Don’t waste your time! The exam period is usually around 5 weeks long (the spring exam period is a bit longer) so that means 5 exams for 5 weeks.
- You have 3 attempts for each exam in one examination period and you can enroll in the same course 3 times throughout the whole studies. This may sound helpful but there is a catch! The fact that you have 3 attempts for the exam tempts our professors to make them harder. They don’t want us all to easily pass on the first attempt, and they know that a lot of people will come to the first attempt just to look at the test, and to know what to expect when they come, better prepared, next time. We don’t recommend these tactics but it does work for some people. The most important message here is: Don’t collapse when you fail on your first attempt. It is just the way it works around here, it happens to many people and it is actually good to have this experience. Believe it or not, it will make you stronger. And the second thing: Think about your possible failures when you plan your exams. Not everything might go just as you’d wish it.
- To be able to enroll to the next semester you need to have at least 15 credits from the previous semester!
- To be able to enroll and go forward to next year, the maximum amount of allowed missing credits altogether is 15!
- Don’t postpone the hardest exams! You need those the most. Your study program is like a chain. The biggest and hardest courses usually have prerequisites (requirements of fulfilled previous courses) – For example: If you are starting your first semester you probably have General and Inorganic Chemistry. A big, compulsory course worth many credits. It is desirable to pass this subject when you are supposed to (first semester), because it is one of the prerequisites for Inorganic Laboratories in the second semester (again very important course).
What could happen?
Let’s say you were not able to pass the General and Inorganic Chemistry course: You don’t have the course-credit and grades in SIS. The SIS will NOT allow you to enroll in Inorganic Laboratories thus the whole chain gets shifted and you might end up prolonging your studies.
Why? Because Inorganic Laboratories are strictly a Spring semester course. So even if you fulfilled General and Inorganic Chemistry with a little delay in the following Spring semester, you have to wait till next year for Inorganic Laboratories. And that’s not the end of issues.
Inorganic Laboratories are a prerequisite for following Organic Laboratories so as said the chain, which is fixed and specifically prepared for your study plan, gets shifted and it's not easy to get back on track.
If you were in such a situation – you didn’t pass General and Inorganic Chemistry, the exam period is over, but you have enough credits to continue your studies. The dean’s office will automatically register you for the subject that you failed and you will be able to see it again in your new schedule.
There is one more chance for you to “save yourself “. Your professor will probably insert a few dates for an early exam at the beginning of the semester. That means you might still have a chance to pass both: the General and Inorganic Chemistry and the Inorganic Laboratories in one semester and get yourself out of trouble. However, it is not advisable to get into such a situation at all. Studying at UCT Prague is not easy, the first year especially.
This is only an example, there are other courses with similar complications!
What to do at the end of the exam period
When you successfully passed all exams (or you have no more attempts for those you failed), and if you gained all required course-credits at the end of the examination period, go to SUMMARY OF EXAMINATIONS RESULTS – tab Validations and request validation of your results for the current semester.
Once you send the request you should see a report.
And you are finished. You can rest, relax, party, sleep, regain energy, await a new semester or enjoy summer, and most importantly get yourself back together because the show must go on.

Bear in mind that you need to receive 180 credits to successfully complete your Bachelor studies and 120 credits to successfully complete your Master's studies.
This means that you should ideally complete 30 credits per semester.
Note that you may need to sign up for some elective subjects too in order to have enough credits at the end of the academic year! Ask your dean's office for an offer of the elective subjects.

Price of the Lunch
The discounted price for students (only when paying with ISIC or university card) is approximately 80–130 CZK (≈ 3 – 5 EUR)
How to Pay in the Canteen?
The Red and Blue canteens are managed by the Czech Technical University (the other university located on our campus). You can pay with a UCT Prague university card/ISIC there, however, the financial account is separate from the Volha canteen and UCT Prague copy center. Therefore, you have to load money for the Volha canteen & copy center and the canteens on the campus separately.
You can load the money in cash, or online via GoPay (only if you have already deposited money on your card in cash before). You can also pay by debit card, but that way you cannot get the student discount. Note that menus are available online: in EMIL along with other nearby restaurants or on the CTU canteen website (in English).
In the Red and Blue canteens, you take the food from the food desk first and then go to the cash desk.
In the Volha canteen, money is deposited on the cash desk on the left side of the food desk, and to choose the meal you need to press the number of the meal on the display of the meals and pay with the ISIC card first. Then you can take the meal from the food desk.
You won't find a canteen in Holešovice campus, but discounts are arranged for students in selected restaurants and bistros in the vicinity of the school. Details can be found in the map.
Tips from international students
- You may meet a canteen personnel who does not speak English well, in such a case prepare the card and the amount of money you need to deposit and smile. :)
- Beware: Czech food is often different from what it looks like. However, there is usually some familiar food like spaghetti, fried cheese, or chicken meat. The vegan option may exist only in the Blue canteen.
