Recognition of Previous Foreign Education

An essential part of the admission process is the submission of a true copy of the diploma and transcript of records. The true copies in the paper form must be delivered to UCT Prague by the end of June.

If the documents were issued in an electronic format that can be verified via a verification code or a specific verification website, it is possible to submit them electronically only.

Note
You may be asked to submit the following documents if necessary:

  • Certified written power of attorney, if submitted by a person other than the graduate,
  • Certified copy of a Marriage Certificate or a Judgment of Divorce, or another document in case of a change of the name indicated on the Diploma,
  • An official confirmation issued by the respective foreign secondary school or a competent authority in the given country, certifying that the graduate of the said secondary school is eligible to apply for admission to a Bachelor's degree programme in that country.

How to proceed?

When filling in the online application, you must choose a method of recognition based the type of diploma you hold and the country in which it was issued.

It is always necessary to submit a diploma and transcript of records confirming the highest level of completed education.

  1. Select the type of diploma you have received or will receive upon completing your current studies.
  2. Then follow the instructions related to your diploma type.

If you haven't graduated yet by the time of applying, and you are going to graduate in May, June, or July, you still can submit your online application. In such a case, proceed with the below-stated steps as soon as possible after graduation.
