Bachelor Degree Programmes

  • Duration: 3 years
  • Degree awarded: Bakalář (Bc., equivalent to Bachelor of Science)
  • Medium of Instruction: English

The degree programmes are accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process and the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

Students are required to pay a tuition fee for participating in degree programmes taught in English.

 

 

Faculty of Chemical Technology

At the Faculty of Chemical Technology, you can enrol in the degree programme Chemistry and Technology, which offers the following study fields:

 
  • Specialization: Chemical Technology
  • Core areas: Chemical technology, pharmaceutical technology, synthesis
  • Optional: New types of energy sources, catalysis, raw materials treatment, production processes for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries
  • Career: In research and development companies, or in laboratories focused on chemical or pharmaceutical technology
  • Specialization: Chemistry
  • Core areas: Physico-chemical principles of chemical and biochemical processes, fundamentals of inorganic and organic synthesis
  • Career: The main aim is to prepare students for their Master degree studies; graduates have excellent theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and experience in basic natural scientific disciplines
  • Specialization: Chemistry and Technology of Materials
  • Core areas: Relationship between chemical structure and physical properties of materials (glass and ceramics, metals and alloys, plastics and rubber, materials for electronics, composites)
  • Career: Direct employment in the materials production and processing industry; opportunities in R&D companies and laboratories focused on materials testing and quality control
 

Faculty of Chemical Engineering

At the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, you can enrol in the degree programme Chemistry and Technology, which offers the following study fields:

  • Core areas: Broad chemical education with flexibility to choose area of interest; opportunity to join research teams early and develop research skills 
  • Career: Most graduates continue to Master studies; others find employment in the chemical industry, laboratories, or administrative institutions related to chemical substances

School of Business

Economics and Management (3-year)
  • Core areas: Economics, management, marketing, finance, and industrial/business concepts; includes social, and cultural skills for multicultural environments
  • Career: Analytical, project, or junior management roles in industry, trade, consulting, or public administration; or for Master studies worldwide
  • Example roles: Financial analyst, project analyst, marketing analyst, sales representative, junior consultant
Economics and Management (4-year)
  • Core areas: Year 1 focuses on strengthening English, communication, and subject-specific terminology in math and business; followed by full 3-year programme content
  • Career: Same prospects as 3-year version, with extra support for international students in Year 1 to build confidence and succeed in an academic or professional setting
