Chhavi Sindhu

My name is Chhavi, and I am from India. I am currently studying Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology (FPBT) at UCT Prague.

When I was searching for universities in Europe, I was looking for a program with a strong focus on biotechnology, research, and practical laboratory experience. UCT Prague stood out because of its comprehensive curriculum, excellent scientific reputation, and international environment. Studying here has given me the opportunity to develop both academically and personally through hands-on laboratory work and collaboration with students and professors from diverse backgrounds.

Alongside my studies, I am an active member of the Full-time International Students Organization (FISO), where we support incoming international students as they adapt to university life. Being part of FISO has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to contribute to the welcoming community that helped me settle in when I first arrived in Prague.

Moving abroad on my own for the first time was a significant step, but the supportive atmosphere at UCT Prague made the transition much easier. Living in Prague has also been an unforgettable experience. The city's rich history, excellent public transport, and vibrant student life create an ideal environment for studying and meeting people from all over the world.

If I could offer one piece of advice to future students, it would be to take every opportunity the university offers. Get involved in practical work, participate in student activities, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Making the most of these opportunities has been one of the most valuable parts of my journey at UCT Prague.
